Jessica Steen

 Jessica Steen is a Canadian actress in both the television and film industry, acclaimed for her roles in Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, Homefront, Earth 2, Armageddon, Left Behind: World at War, NCIS, Flashpoint and the CBC series Heartland.



 



 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto (Ontario) to Joanna Noyes, an actor and Jan Steen who is a actor and director. Steen is of Dutch and Scottish heritage.



 



 Steen apart from her entertainment career is an environmentalist and an advocate for animal rights. She is a supporter of David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals and the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee, as well as other organizations. She is certified as a diver and has trained in several circus arts, including fire-twirling and stilt-walking.
